Some fences are built to keep things out,
Some to keep things in.
Some are framed with thoughtful care,
Some staked out on a whim.
Some are made of iron bars crowned with razor wire,
Some from sanded, latticed wood, dressed in ivy attire.
The best are gated with a latch--for a steady, guiding hand.
They open wide and lock up tight at charity's command.
